Billions of IoT devices are expected to come online within just a few years, but challenges exist to mainstream adoption. By enhancing security, traceability and providing the benefits of a decentralized network, blockchain technologies are a missing link in resolving IoT’s concerns over scalability and privacy. Working together in synergy, automated, accurate data collection in real-time will create more effective blockchain databases. This October, the Alberta Blockchain Consortium and Alberta IoT will be exploring the powerful convergence of these emerging data technologies in building our digital future.
