Speaker Bios:

Amber D. Scott, Founder & CEO at Outlier Compliance Group – Amber is a career compliance geek who accepted her first bitcoin payment in 2013, though at the time, it was because she wanted to learn how it worked. She quickly became enthusiastic about the technology and its possibilities. Since then, she has worked with many companies in the virtual asset space.

Lori Stein, Partner at McCarthy Tétrault. Lori is, without a doubt, Canada’s preeminent securities lawyer in the virtual asset space. Her notable contributions include advising five of the Canadian crypto trading platforms that are currently licensed under securities laws, as well as Canada’s first virtual currency fund available to retail investors, 3iQ’s Bitcoin Fund. As a leader in McCarthy’s Fintech, Securities & Regulatory practices, she works with many clients in the virtual asset space.
